About This Game The Great War 1918 is a WW1 modification for Company of Heroes, focusing on the last year of the First World War. Currently it features the British Expeditionary Force and the German Empire as opposing factions; however new nations will be brought over time, such as France and Austria-Hungary. There are around 5 maps; all littered with trenches and defensible positions. Crew sizes are larger, and so less vulnerable to snipers. It's worth taking a look at, but I think it's less fun than the standard game at this time. If other factions are introduced, that may change. The Steam version's multiplayer browser shows online friends as offline and doesn't show LAN option with this mod and so I haven't been able to play in multiplayer yet.. Have always loved COH and found this to be a great little add on for a much needed WW1 game.. I'M so excited for new releases ! Keep it up you guys. i got this mod and then the next day nhc mod wasnt working. ive uninstalled and reinstalled the full game 3 times now nothing works. :( if anyone knows how to fixx this please tell me. Solid WW1 mod for the game, and with the French joining in on the fray soon, it will be an almost complete World War 1 trench combat experience, and I say almost since there are a few nations such as Austro-Hungaria, the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, Belgium and the Russian Empire that are missing.But given the game engine's complexity and time to make and implement assets properly, they've done a damn good job at it.I just hope modders for this game received more support from Relic, sadly it's not the case.. Really great mod, just need to fix the way the trenchs work. Incomplete, but still great, if you have friends. The AI doesnt know♥♥♥♥♥♥about WWI it seems, and doesnt entrench.
